23rd Annual Paws for Life NC 5K
and 1-Mile Dog Walk
Saturday October 4th, 2025
We are hosting our 23rd annual 5K Race & 1-Mile Dog Walk on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at the town park behind the Sanford Creek Elementary School in Rolesville. We would LOVE your support at our event so we can continue the mission of saving lives of homeless cats and dogs in “our” community.
We do this by rescuing animals from local high-kill shelters and providing much-needed emergency medical care, surgeries, vaccinations, spays & neuters, micro-chipping, food, and lots of TLC through our foster program until they are placed in loving adoptive homes. Paws for Life NC has been dedicated to our community since 2002 and with your help we can make 2025 a great year for even more animals!

Entry Fee
The entry fee for the 5K is $30, and the fee for 1-Mile Dog Walk is $20. After September 30, both fees increase by $5 up to and including race day.
Packet Pick-up
Packet pickup is at a the registration tent starting at 8:30 AM on the morning of the event. All participants must show a photo ID or be with a guardian with a photo ID in order to pick up their race packets and can only pick up their own race packet.
Race Swag
All participants will receive a race t-shirt
Dog Costume Parade
Following the 5K there will be a dog costume parade! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given to the best dressed dog/s.
